"You're
Never Going to Make It"
By Velma the Fischwire
Last
week I was playing at a coffee house, and during a break,
a man came up to me and introduced himself
as a talent scout. He went on to say "I know talent,
and frankly I hate to say it but you are lacking in several
areas. You should quit singing and get a professional, and
maybe take a few more years of lessons. Cause the way you
are now, you're never going to make it."
I looked at him and smiled, then replied, "Make
it where?"
He just shrugged and walked off. I guess he
doesn't actually play music, just looks for others to do
it.
